Established by Hilario Galguera and Rosa María Ortega, Galería Hilario Galguera opened in Mexico City in 2006 as a space for the discussion and promotion of contemporary Mexican and international art, with a solo show of Damien Hirst entitled The Death of God. Towards a better understanding of life without God aboard the Ship of the Mad. Since then, the gallery has exhibited and disseminated the work of artists characterized by relevant and complex conceptual, social, political and formal proposals, as well as by their rigor and aesthetic precision. The gallery emphasizes the realization of public, editorial and institutional projects, activities that are considered key to the contribution and linkage with the public.
